Everything on this site is published to help you think through a decision — not to make it for you. Please read this before acting on any figure, recommendation or calculator result here.
This is information, not advice for your field
Technical Kisan publishes general farming information for India, with a focus on western Uttar Pradesh. It is written for a region, and a region is not a field. Soil, water, seed, local pest and disease pressure, weather and district-level administration all vary — often between neighbouring villages — and none of it is visible to us.
A recommendation that is sound for the area it was written for can be wrong for your plot. Treat what you read here as a starting point for a conversation with someone who can see your field, not as a substitute for that conversation.
We are not agricultural professionals
Technical Kisan is written by Vaibhav Dhama, who founded the site. He is a software developer by profession (BTech, 2021) and does not hold a formal qualification in agriculture.
The information here is drawn from local mandi rates, conversations with farmers around Baghpat, state agriculture department sources, published ICAR and state agricultural university guidance, and official scheme notifications. It is compiled carefully and dated, but it is not the advice of a registered agronomist, agricultural extension officer, veterinarian, financial adviser or lawyer, and it should not be relied on as such.
The calculators are estimates
The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser and work only with the figures you enter. Their output is an estimate for planning, not a projection of what will happen on your farm. Costs, yields, prices, subsidy rates and interest rates all move, and the result changes completely with a small change to an input.
Confirm every rate and price locally before you spend money on the strength of a calculator result.
Scheme rules and prices change
Government scheme rules, eligibility, MSP, subsidy rates and fertiliser prices change, sometimes with little notice, and are implemented differently from state to state. We label every figure with the season it applies to, but the official notification, department circular or portal is always the authority — not this site.

Liability

Confirm with your KVK before you act
Before making any significant decision about seed, fertiliser, crop protection, a scheme application or a loan, confirm the details with your nearest Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), district or block agriculture officer, veterinarian or bank. They can see your situation; a website cannot.
