One problem decides more of a guar crop's fate than anything else: bacterial blight, caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. cyamopsidis, is documented as the major disease of guar across Rajasthan and India, ahead of Alternaria leaf blight, anthracnose and powdery mildew.
