About this variety
Pusa Hybrid-2 is an F1 hybrid bitter gourd from ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, with glossy dark green fruit that is slightly less bitter than the traditional varieties, and good early and total yield across both the summer and rainy seasons in the plains. The fruit is uniform and firm, so it travels well to distant markets and displays well on the stall. Like all hybrids it needs fresh seed each season and a bower plus a fruit-fly programme to reach its potential.
