About this variety
RMO-40 is one of the standard, widely grown moth bean varieties of the Rajasthan arid tract, maturing early in about 61тАУ64 days. It is valued for its drought-hardiness and wide adaptation, and is used as the breeding parent of the gamma-mutant variety RMO-435 (Maru Bahar). As with all moth bean, it is sown thin and rainfed and rewards a yellow-mosaic-resistant approach with early whitefly control.
