About this variety
Moroccan Red is a red-skinned, red-fleshed dragon fruit cultivar тАФ named for its origin тАФ widely offered as rooted cuttings by Indian nurseries and valued for sweet, deeply coloured flesh that sells into the premium red-flesh market. It behaves like the other red clones in the field: vigorous, heavy-cropping when well pollinated, but partly self-incompatible, so it should be grown alongside a compatible pollen donor or hand-pollinated at night. Growers often plant two or three red cultivars together both to secure pollination and to spread fruit size and quality across the block.
