About this variety
Vietnam Red is a red-skinned, red-fleshed dragon fruit selection of Vietnamese origin that has become one of the backbone commercial clones in Indian plantings, especially across Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Nurseries multiply and sell it widely because it crops reliably and gives the well-coloured red flesh the fresh market rewards. As with other red-fleshed types, its fruit set depends on cross-pollination тАФ interplant a compatible cultivar or hand-pollinate the night flowers тАФ so it is best treated as one cultivar in a mixed-clone block rather than planted solid on its own.
