Overview
Rythu Bharosa is Telangana’s investment-support scheme, launched in January 2025 in place of Rythu Bandhu. The amount went up from ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 per acre per season, so a farmer now receives ₹12,000 per acre across Kharif and Rabi.
The important change is not the money, it is the condition attached to it. Rythu Bandhu paid on land as recorded; Rythu Bharosa pays on land that is actually being cultivated. Plots recorded as non-cultivable — rock, road, layout, industrial use — are screened out before payment, which is why some farmers who were paid earlier are not paid now.

- ₹6,000 per acre before each season, so the money lands when seed and fertiliser are actually being bought.
- No ceiling on acreage — the support scales with the holding rather than stopping at a slab.
- Paid by DBT into the bank account linked to the land record, with no application to file each season.
- A separate ₹500 per quintal bonus applies to paddy procured under the state’s scheme.
Who is eligible

You qualify if
- Permanent resident of Telangana
- Agricultural land registered in your name in the state land records portal
- The plot is actually under cultivation — non-cultivable plots are excluded
- Aadhaar-seeded bank account for DBT
Not covered
- Plots recorded as non-agricultural — layouts, industrial land, roads, rocky or barren land
- Land under government or institutional ownership

Check that your land record is clean
Everything depends on the pattadar passbook and the land survey record. Corrections go through the Mandal Revenue Office, not the agriculture office.

Confirm the plot is marked as cultivated
This is the step that catches most people out. If a cultivated plot is classified as non-cultivable, get it re-verified through the MRO before the season opens.

Payment runs automatically each season. Use the portal or the Rythu Vedika to check the status against your passbook number.

Is there a limit on how many acres are paid for?

Almost always because the plot is now classified as non-cultivable in the land survey. That classification is corrected at the Mandal Revenue Office.
