Punjab Komal

Punjab Komal is an F1 hybrid bottle gourd from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, with long, light green fruit and early, heavy bearing. Its useful tolerance to cucumber mosaic virus makes it a good choice for the north-west plains, where aphid-borne mosaic can damage an unprotected bottle gourd crop. Fresh hybrid seed must be bought each season.
