About this variety

Bomby and Orobelle are private F1 hybrids from Syngenta bred specifically for protected (polyhouse or shade-net) coloured capsicum production. Bomby is a strong, sturdy, tall plant needing staking that produces fruit turning a deep red; Orobelle turns from green to yellow at maturity and sets particularly well under cool, protected conditions. Both need genuine polyhouse or shade-net infrastructure and careful climate control to colour up cleanly without sunscald, and both supply the premium coloured-capsicum retail and export trade at a considerably higher price than plain green fruit.
