Vallabh Isabgol-1 (VI-1)

Vallabh Isabgol-1 (VI-1) was released in 2015 by ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research (DMAPR), Boriavi, Anand — part of the newer Vallabh Isabgol series bred by the country's dedicated national medicinal-plants research institute. It is an erect, compact plant with dark-green, moderately hairy leaves and a compact, long flowering spike, and is officially recommended for all isabgol-growing areas rather than a single state. Its documented yield of 1,400 kg/ha is among the higher figures for a named variety on this page.
