RRII 414 is a clone in the RRII 400 series, bred from the cross RRII 105 × RRIC 100 to close the gaps in RRII 105. It comes into tapping earlier, grows faster through the immature phase, yields well from the start, and tolerates Corynespora leaf fall better than RRII 105 — which together have made it a leading choice for new planting and replanting in the traditional Kerala belt.
