About this variety
Crimson Globe is a popular open-pollinated main-crop beetroot with globe-shaped, smooth, medium-to-large roots carrying deep crimson flesh and a sweet, mild flavour. It is used much the same way as Detroit Dark Red, sometimes maturing a little faster and giving somewhat larger roots, and is a common alternative wherever a grower wants a slightly bigger main-crop beet for the fresh or processing market.
