Two sowing windows, two different crops
The checklist gives two windows. In the hills you sow from April to August and the crop grows through the cooler months at height. In the North Indian plains you sow from November to December and the crop grows in winter.
They are two different crops with different harvest dates and different markets. A hill crop sown in April comes to the plains market when plains carrots are not there. A plains crop sown in November sells with all the red carrots.
