Overview
Machinery is the biggest single capital outlay a farming family makes, and the one most often financed badly. This scheme puts a large share of it on the state: a general farmer gets 40% of the cost up to ₹1.5 lakh, while SC and ST farmers, women farmers and small and marginal farmers get 50% up to ₹2 lakh.
It runs entirely through the e-Krishi Yantra portal, and there is one procedural quirk worth planning around: because demand exceeds the budget, beneficiaries are picked by lottery after the application deadline closes. Applying is therefore about getting into the draw within the window — not first-come-first-served — so there is nothing to gain by rushing and everything to lose by missing the date.

Apply on the portal within the window
Register at dbt.mpdage.org and apply for the machine before the deadline. Timing within the window does not matter — being in it does.

Wait for the lottery draw
After the deadline, beneficiaries are selected by lottery. Selection, not application, is what entitles you to buy.

Buy, get it verified, receive the subsidy
If selected, purchase the machine from an approved dealer, have it verified, and the 40% or 50% subsidy is released.
