Overview
Madhya Pradesh matches PM-KISAN rupee for rupee. The state pays its own ₹6,000 a year in three instalments of ₹2,000, so a family already on the central list receives ₹12,000 across the year rather than ₹6,000.
The state amount started at ₹4,000 a year in 2020 and was raised to ₹6,000 in 2023. There is no separate registration: the beneficiary list is the PM-KISAN list, which is why an incomplete e-KYC costs you both payments at once, not one.
What you get
The benefit as the state notifies it — nothing here is an estimate.
- ₹6,000 a year from the state, paid as three instalments of ₹2,000 by DBT.
- Adds to PM-KISAN rather than replacing it — an eligible family receives ₹12,000 for the year.
- No separate application: the beneficiary list is drawn from PM-KISAN records.
- Status is searchable on the SAARA portal by Aadhaar, bank account or PM-KISAN ID.
Who is eligible
State schemes usually state their criteria as prose rather than a checklist. This is that prose, unpacked — the department’s verification is what decides.
You qualify if
- Resident of Madhya Pradesh
- Landholding farmer family with cultivable land recorded in the state land records
- Already registered and approved under PM-KISAN, with e-KYC completed
- Aadhaar-seeded bank account for DBT
Not covered
- Anyone excluded under PM-KISAN — income-tax payers, government employees above the exempt grades, holders of constitutional posts
- Institutional landholders
Documents you need
Have these ready before you start — most rejections are a missing paper, not a missing right.
- Aadhaar card
- PM-KISAN registration number
- Khasra / khatauni land record
- Bank passbook, Aadhaar-seeded
How to apply
Fewer steps than a central scheme, and usually one office rather than a portal.
- 1
Confirm your PM-KISAN registration
This scheme has no list of its own. If PM-KISAN shows you as approved with e-KYC done, the state instalment follows.
- 2
Fix land seeding at the tehsil if needed
Khasra details are seeded through the revenue office. A mismatch there is the usual reason the state instalment stops.
- 3
Check the instalment on SAARA
saara.mp.gov.in accepts an Aadhaar number, a bank account number or a PM-KISAN ID and shows the instalment history.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to apply separately for the state ₹6,000?
No. The state uses the PM-KISAN beneficiary list. Getting onto PM-KISAN and keeping e-KYC current is the whole of it.
Was the amount not ₹4,000 earlier?
Yes — the scheme started at ₹4,000 a year in 2020 and the state raised it to ₹6,000 in 2023, paid as three instalments of ₹2,000.
My PM-KISAN came but the state instalment did not. Why?
Usually a bank-account or land-seeding mismatch on the state side. Check the record on SAARA first, then take the correction to the tehsil office.
