Overview
Haryana launched a new subsidy for horticulture crop cultivation on 29 September 2026 (The Tribune), aimed at crop diversification. It pays per acre for growing fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices and aromatic plants, and it is run by the state Department of Horticulture.
The rate depends on the crop. Fruit orchards get ₹24,500 to ₹1.4 lakh per acre, general-category vegetable growers ₹15,000 per acre, and Scheduled Caste vegetable growers ₹25,500 per acre. Spices get ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 per acre, flowers ₹8,000 to ₹40,000, and aromatic plants ₹8,000 per acre.
There are area limits. Fruit orchards, spices, flowers and aromatic plants are covered up to 5 acres. General-category vegetable growers are covered up to 5 acres, but Scheduled Caste farmers are covered up to 1 acre for vegetables at the higher ₹25,500 rate.
The subsidy is tied to better growing methods. Farmers are expected to use integrated cultivation practices such as mulching, drip irrigation, low tunnels or bamboo staking. Applications go through the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora and Hortnet portals.
What you get
The benefit as the state notifies it — nothing here is an estimate.
- Fruit orchards: ₹24,500 to ₹1.4 lakh per acre, depending on the fruit crop.
