About this variety

Sree Jaya is a short-duration clonal selection from ICAR-CTCRI, released alongside Sree Vijaya for the same low-lying, paddy-rotation growing system common in southern and central Kerala. It reaches maturity in about six months, giving growers a table-quality tapioca crop that fits into the gap between paddy plantings rather than a long-season commitment. As with Sree Vijaya, it is grown for direct eating rather than industrial starch extraction.
