About this variety

Sree Pavithra is an erect, branching cassava variety from ICAR-CTCRI with good table quality and 28–30% starch content. It suits both upland and low-lying cultivation, giving it more flexibility of land type than the pure low-lying rotation varieties, and it has been actively promoted through frontline demonstrations not just in Kerala but also across the north-eastern states (Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh) as a reliable food-security root crop for hill and marginal land.
