1. Using this site

Technical Kisan is free to use. You may read, print and share our guides for your own farming purposes, and forward them to other farmers. You may not republish our content as your own, scrape it at scale, or use it to train a commercial model without our written permission.

2. The calculators

Our calculators are provided as tools to help you think, and they run entirely on your device. Their output depends entirely on the figures you put in. They are estimates, not professional financial, agronomic or legal advice, and they cannot know anything about your soil, your water or your market.

3. Our guidance is information, not a guarantee

This is the important one. Farming outcomes depend on soil, weather, water, seed, local pest pressure, market conditions and district-level administration — none of which we can see. A recommendation that is correct for a region may be wrong for your field.

We take real care with our numbers, we date them, and we correct them when they are wrong. But we cannot and do not guarantee any particular yield, price, saving, subsidy approval or outcome. Decisions about your farm are yours, and the consequences of them are yours.

Before acting on any figure here — especially a subsidy rate, an eligibility rule or a deadline — confirm it against the official notification, or with your Krishi Vigyan Kendra, block agriculture officer, or bank.

4. Scheme and price information

Government scheme rules, MSP, subsidy rates and fertiliser prices change, sometimes with little notice, and are implemented differently in different states. We label every figure with the season it applies to. The official notification always overrides anything you read here.

5. External links

We link to government portals and other resources where they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their availability.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
